situated on the North Coast 500 ( NC500).
We restrict who is on the site by keeping our gates closed and
we feel this offers security and peace of mind for our guests.
This is really a special place with our site situated next to the
river Blackwater and some of the Munro mountains almost on
the doorstep,with great fishing , hiking and mountain biking in
close proximity . Everyone is drawn to the river here , not only
to watch our local Heron who loves to fish on our stretch of the
river but also to enjoy paddling and even swimming .We have
also had a visit from an otter and this has been spotted by a few
of our campers already.
Also, In the sky you will almost inevitably see the majestic Red
Kites soaring above you with their distinctive markings . A wild cat
has also been tagged and released by a Nature group.
There are good mountain bike trails starting just over the road
from the campsite and Bike rental is available in Strathpeffer at
event takes place every January
Our self catering lodges and campsite is in the highland village of
Contin next to the local store, and about 18 miles from Inverness
and Loch Ness.There are regular buses to the village from
Inverness and with a bus stop just outside the site for those of
you that do not have a car or want to leave their car behind

The Riverside
The holiday park is adjacent to the well stocked local grocery shop.
The shop has new owners. The village also has a garage.
Restaurants are available in
Strathpeffer.

relaxing by the River .
